LETTERPRESS PRINT

Acess to a pressing press allows for a certain amount of printmaking experimentation. The particular print came from inking a piece of wood type, printing it, moving it, and printing it again without inking it. On each pass through the pres, the type has less ink on its face than it did on the previous impression. The result is a gradient, fading out to nothing.

Printed in 14 passes on a Vandercook 4C proofing press.
